Life during the war is a difficult but special time for Christians; a time to put others before ourselves, helping where we can, to the best of our abilities!
Over the past week, we have started:
Ministering to refugees
Transit refugees - Ukrainians who left their homes, running away from the war and staying in the city of Ternopil for several hours. We have formed small snacks that they can take with them on the road. Our goal is to provide such assistance twice a week.
More help to low-income families living in Ternopil
Communicating with some of them, we saw despair, pain in the eyes, as well as gratitude that in such a difficult time for the country, we have not forgotten about them. One woman said: “I don’t know how to keep going, my husband died in January, I was left alone with my grandchildren and my daughter, and now the war has begun. Where can we go for help?"
We prayed with her that God would calm her heart, give His peace and assure her that He is kind and does not leave us in difficult times.
Help with sleep kits
Blankets, pillows, mattresses and linens are the most in-demand humanitarian aid needs. We purchased 210 mattresses, 445 duvets, and 150 pillows. Sleeping kits were sent to 15 churches in the city of Ternopil and Christian organizations that accept refugees on their territory.
Formation of warehouses with food and hygiene products.
Our city is one of the central hubs for refugees. We have stocked warehouses with food and hygiene products that we have rented. This allows us to quickly respond to the needs of local, socially unprotected segments of the population (refugees who remain and live in Ternopil) and transport the necessary products throughout Ukraine.
Transportation of products to Kyiv
We transported food to Kyiv. There are crew members in the capital who are busy preparing food for people waiting for their trains. Everyone now can have a bite to eat and drink some warm tea.
Thanks to everyone who has become a part of this ministry. We invite everyone who wants to be involved in the manifestation of God's love for Ukraine in wartime to write to us to find out how you can help
